Testamentary Records: 1803-1923+

Testamentary Records are compilations of actions taken by the Probate Court in connection with estate matters. They are entered first by term of the Court [e.g., May Term, 1832], and then by date within the term.

Entries often include:

  • Probate of Will
  • Appointment of Executor or Administrator
  • Inventory of Personal Property
  • Final Accounting of Estate
  • Matters relating to Guardianship of Minor Heirs of Deceased

There is a general index for Volumes 1 through 10 covering the years 1803-1856. The remainder of the volumes have indexes in the front of the books.
