The Engineering and Construction Section plans, designs, and constructs the capital improvements necessary to keep the BCWS water and sewer systems of adequate capacity to serve the customer base. The section plans, designs, and constructs projects to repair and upgrade existing facilities. The section also issues permits, reviews all plans, and inspects the construction of public extensions to the water and sewer system that are installed for new development in order to ensure that they are designed and constructed to BCWS standards. The Engineering Division manages BCWS’s Capital Improvement Program (CIP) to ensure that our customers will be well served now and in the future.
