Commissioners SealYour Butler County Commissioners partner with our fellow residents to create a welcoming community in which to work, live, play and raise a family. We live and work here, too, and share your vision for Butler County. All three of the Commissioners are lifelong residents of Butler County, with families whose roots run deep.

Our goal is simple: provide a quality lifestyle, while respecting our Butler County residents and businesses. As a board, we strive in all aspects to provide the highest quality of living at the lowest possible cost. We take seriously the responsibility of being good stewards of your tax dollars.

We focus on smart economic development that enhances the lives of our residents and workforce while providing the resources that keep our county vibrant. We work to create value for our employers and industry. We seek to create an environment that encourages our young residents to build a life and write their own story in Butler County.

CINDY CARPENTERCindy Carpenter
PRESIDENT

With a focus on families and communities, Commissioner Cindy Carpenter provides a strong voice for the most-challenged in our community. She has been instrumental in child welfare reform and works with state agencies to bring jobs to the unemployed. She has worked with other commissioners to bring fiscal control to Butler County.

Commissioner Carpenter has been on the Butler County Board of Commissioners since 2011. She served as Butler County Clerk of Courts from 1996-2010. Her community involvement includes the Butler County Initiative to Reduce Infant Mortality, the Butler County Opiate Abuse Task Force, United Way, Partners in Prime, Sacred Heart Parish and Badin High School.

She lives in Oxford Township.

Don DixonDONALD L. DIXON
VICE PRESIDENT

Commissioner Don Dixon understands the importance of being fiscally responsible. A business owner and lifelong resident of Butler County, Commissioner Dixon treats tax dollars as he would his own. He works with fellow commissioners to keep the cost of government in Butler County as low as possible.

A commissioner since 2007, Commissioner Dixon also served on the board from 1982-86. He is active in several Butler County initiatives including the 911 Planning Committee, the EMA Executive Committee, Public Defender Commission, the Transportation Improvement Board and the Visitors & Conference Bureau Committee.

He is a former Fairfield Township Trustee and lives in Fairfield Township.

T.C. ROGERSTC Rogers
MEMBER

As a lifelong Butler County resident and a business owner for the last 45 years, Commissioner T.C. Rogers has experienced the quality of life in Butler County. His goal is to create opportunities that enable today’s generation of Butler County residents to live, grow and raise their own families here. He wants them to enjoy the same experience he’s had. His vision includes maintaining a low cost of living, creating new economic development, providing platforms for our residents to give back to others and sharing all the positive stories of our booming county.

Commissioner Rogers is active with the OKI Regional Council of Governments, the Butler County Port Authority, the Board of Revision, the Zoning Board of Appeals, the Rural Zoning Board, the Metropolitan Housing Authority, the Planning Commission Residential Board of Appeals, County Commissioners Association of Ohio and the Land Reutilization Bank Committee.

Commissioner Rogers and his wife, Ginny, live in Liberty Township.
